The Monday Club arose as a result of a suggestion by Father Tony Churchill when he was parish priest in 1994. This was in response to a request from older parishioners who felt they needed an opportunity to meet socially, outside the normal Liturgical Services. It was a way of meeting a social need.

The aims of the club are to offer support and friendship in times of illness, bereavement or loneliness or generally to provide occassions for caring, sharing and laughter. To this end numerous activities are arranged such as Quizzes, Bingo, Table Top sales, Birthday celebrations, competitions and "Singalongs". We also have "Theme Days" and Guest Speakers on a variety of topics. At Christmas we have a celebration lunch at a nearby hotel.
